About Joe Bohringer

Joe Bohringer
Joe Bohringer

I honed my edge through 31 seasons in the high-stakes business of Major League Baseball. An industry with a brutally honest scoreboard, it also sets elite standards for winning cultures, systems, and people. In that environment, an edge is not a luxury. It is a prerequisite for success.

My edge started with a desire to learn while completing an MIT business degree. It developed when mentors showed me the way. My edge was sharpest when collaborating with like-minded teammates in pursuit of success.

I was fortunate during my career to rise from student intern to Assistant General Manager. Along the way I earned key roles in selecting players, developing staff, and making multimillion-dollar decisions. However, I am proudest of leadership roles helping build the foundations for a historic Chicago Cubs World Series win and Seattle Mariners end of a 20-year playoff drought.

Joe Bohringer's Cubs MLB ring

After three decades and a World Series ring, two lessons stand out. First, execution drives success. Second, enduring success depends on the continuous improvement of your team, your organization, and most importantly yourself.

I now bring my edge to coaching and consulting. I would welcome the opportunity to help you hone yours.

“Joe spent much of his Major League career helping develop staff and players. Having known him almost 25 years, I’m not at all surprised his path has led to executive coaching. I have no doubt he will make a difference for anyone working with him.”
